I just got my copy of Skate 3 today and had to play it right away. So I have now been playing it all day and I can safely say that this is the best Skate game out there. It surpasses Skate 1 & 2 by so much.
There are endless new and improver features available in the 3rd Skate. The skate park builders are fantastic, the new trick are to die for, the Hall of meat is the best there is and the graphics and the whole new maps are Amazing.
Buy this game if you love skateboarding or just buy it if you like games in general!

First reviewer said it best. This is the best SKATE yet. Levels are HUUUUUGE, the tricks are improved, the walking around is better, the build a park is great. The graphics are simply amazing, too. Couldn’t be more pleased with this game. Gotta get it!

Others commented on the improvements over Skate and Skate 2. Yes everything is better. The skating/trick pulling off is much smoother and quicker in Skate 3. You’ll be ridding rails in no time. The graphics are improved and more refined, although some early online reviews said it looks the same pretty much as Skate 2, I saw differences right away. More colorful and detailed world to skate in. Yes, the areas are huge and really much more interesting than previous Skate titles. Character customization is much improved, as is the level of detail everywhere. I suggest once you get the basic playstyle down through the tutorial, if you havn’t played a Skate game before is to free skate and see some of the scenery. I spent hours just cruzin’ around, pulling off tricks and such with other AI skaters and civilians. The skatepark I found was a blast, as is skating down some posh area streets downhill bypassing or jumping over/off the traffic. There are more items in the world to manipulate now, like knocking down a row of trash cans and plowing through the crowd (who will attack you if provoked too much or just taser you). All around this is a big major improvement over Skate 2. Multi-player, sorry can’t comment on that as the EA skate server was down at the moment, but what’s implemented in the multi-player aspects of Skate 3 look to be a complete blast. And the editor, havn’t had time to play with it yet either, but it looks very nice..and people can share what they’ve constructed/filmed. As someone else mentioned, if you like Skate series, or skate boarding games, or just fun sports type games then Skate 3 delivers. I have an old friend who has been working for Thrasher magazine for like 15+ years so it’s nice to see so much Thrasher (among other companies) related material/support of this game. So Skate & Thrash!

Great game! I know I’m missing some information here like info on the movie editor, track editor, game editor etc. I just recieved this game on the 12th and there is so much I’ve not toyed with yet as I’ve been just having a blast freestylin’ and enjoying what little of the world I’ve seen, and I’ve seen alot so far. The “Hall of Meat” is a roar and the bone crunching/body bashing is awesome to have turned on. Also as your skater eats it, you get bruised up and your clothes get all dirty & trashed up.
The intro movie is real life filmed, and is absolutley hilarious! Rock on…

Though this game may have a few minor flaws, it is easily the best in EA’s skate series.
Improved walking mechanics, a few new tricks thrown in, and a skate.Park creater are just a few of the new things added to this installment of the game.
Sell boards, earn things, progress through the game having fun. That’s what it’s all about, in my personal opinion.
As someone who skated for four years, this game is by far the closest thing to the real deal. Tricks look amazing, set-up is basically the exact thing as in real life on hardcore mode, and I’m loving every minute of it.
This is the skate game everyone has been looking and waiting for. Sure Tony Hawk’s series will forever be remembered as the beginning of something great, but EA’s skate 3 tops off the genre with aplomb.
Is this new game worth your money? I was skeptic, but it was definitely worth it. What a smooth execution.
So why not go ahead and buy it now? You’re missing out on something to be experienced!

No real graphical advancements over Skate 2 and I like hall of meat in Skate 2 better but Skate 3 is a great game and I highly reccomend the Skate series over any other skateboarding game.
