I got this game yesterday and so far I’m very impressed.

This is by far the best world cup EA has created in their FIFA World Cup series. The atmosphere, graphics, and user interface are much improved over last world cup.

    First, the positives:

The game play is pretty realistic. The defense is much harder to break down than in previous versions, which seems to keep the scoreline in check.

The online mode is awesome. You can actually pick a team and challenge other teams in world cup.

As far as the graphics go, I believe they’re pretty strong. Stadiums, game action, and atmosphere, everything looks good. The crowds make you feel you are actually in the stadium.

Having 199 teams is a huge plus. You can even pick Afghanistan. LOL

Having two Button game play is a great addition for new comers in game.

Penalty kicks have improved and they are alot harder to score.

    Btw the Goal looks bigger.

    The negatives:

You still can`t play against friends in 2 vs 2 match up.

There are no clubs in it, but that doesn’t bother me since I have Fifa 09 and Fifa 10.

Overall. it’s a great game. If you want more features and clubs go buy Fifa 10, but if you want better graphics more International teams get this. This

game comes out every 4 years so I didn’t mind paying for it and enjoy having my hometown team in there. So if you are hardcore fan of soccer or your

country didn`t make it to world cup buy this. You won’t regret.

Take care and I’ll see you online! :)

This game has many differences to FIFA 10, but they are mostly small ones. The online mode is about 100 times better than FIFA 10 though since every game you play you earn points now for wins or 1 pt for tie. You are in a league and play 10 games per season, after 10 games u can get relegated or promoted to the next highest league, there are 10 leagues. If you win at the highest league you become champion and earn trophies. Plus all your wins go towards a country you represent, so there are rankings on how good the countries are at playing.

The actual game has better sound than 10 by a million times. It’s extremely festive and loud and you really feel like your at a live match. The passing seems a lot more realistic and fluid and the players make brilliant runs now, the cpu seems to think off the ball so much better. Gameplay seems a bit faster so it tends to make the matches more exciting, sometimes it is a bit fast for realism. New penalty system I love, makes it a little harder to get one so there is more excitement. Graphics are about the same as 10 I would say. Players faces are much better though, they really look like the real guys now.

This is the most realistic FIFA ever created by EA. Graphics is really good. The online game mode is far batter than FIFA 10. In earlier versions, most of the penalty kicks were based on pure luck.. But in this, you have to practice Penalty Kick like that of Free Kick if you want to score..

I’ve been playing FIFA 2010 WCSA since the day it was released, and I’m having a blast with it so far. Personally, I think it’s the best FIFA game that EA has ever created. You can choose from almost any country, there are all kinds of cool / new stadiums, and the gameplay is excellent. I highly recommend 2010 WCSA for all FIFA gamers…

I love the world cup games; I still play the 06 version on my PS2 from time to time. I had the release date for this one circled on my calendar for months. All I can say is I was not disappointed. This is a great game and I highly recommend it. I agree with a couple of the other reviews that it could have been cheaper, however I am sure I will get years of play out it, at least until the 2014 version is released.

As much as I enjoy FIFA 10 (and I do) and as much as I think FIFA 10 is probably the best version that EA has come out with (and I do), I think 2010 FIFA World Cup may have actually surpassed it in nearly all facets. On first glance, the game appears to only have slight changes, but in sum they add up to a better experience in my opinion. The graphics, and especially the players’ likenesses, are better. The sound, especially of the crowd, is much, much better. I think the gameplay is a little better as well. Defenses are still hard to breakdown as they are on FIFA 10, but something about this version just flows a little better. As much as FIFA 10 really got the realism down, this game took that and built upon it. All in all, this is an excellent game.

One note–I’ve been playing FIFA for years, but certainly would not call myself an expert by any means. While FIFA 10 seemed to be a step up in difficulty, I would say World Cup is even a step up from FIFA 10. Even playing as very good sides, it can be extremely difficult to win on higher difficulty levels, at least for me.

This game is amazing from gameplay to online battles… I love national teams (199) and the experience to lead your country to the world cup is priceless. Some people compare this game to FIFA 10, however if you like to represent national team like me, this is the game for you. I play this game every day and enjoy every minute of it.

If you like soccer and if you like FIFA, go buy this game with your eyes closed (note that I have FIFA 10). The game is similar to FIFA 10, but he gameplay has many improvements, the ball fells more real, the keepers play better and the penalties are harder and need to be practiced.

But where this game really shines is in the online mode, you can play the FIFA World Cup online, with the group phase, quarter finals and everything, the game always sets you up with someone who is in the same part of the tournament as you, so if you are in the final, your online opponent will also be in the final, this sets up interesting matches and will give you exciting matches, because if you lose one game after the group phase you have to start again. Because of this, every game matters and will not be just an online head to head match, and winning the cup is very satisfactory.

    Im hooked to this game!

I have to admit, I was really thinking of not buying this game. Yes, the initial price of $59.99 was way to much. I bought my copy for $40.00 with a gift certificate/discount. I am really glad I really bought this. This game is a lot of fun. If you are a soccer fan and enjoyed the FIFA series at all, take my advice and do yourself a favor, buy it! If you want to play with club teams like Man U, Inter, etc. don’t buy it, stick with FIFA. But, if you enjoy the world cup and tournament games with NATIONAL teams, this game is a must. The gameplay is better than FIFA 10. Defenses are much harder to break down than FIFA 10. Passing and movement is much more realistic! Opposition AI is more intelligent and reacts more quickly adding to realism. Games are more fun because they fell more authentic. The stadium sounds are even more realistic. You feel like you are at a real match! Even the stadium graphics are more realistic. EA has really put a lot of detail into this game to make it a more realistic experience. If this game is a preview of what to expect from FIFA 11, then FIFA 11 is going to be the best football simulation yet to date.

Didn’t have much experience with football before but I love this game, the pace is very fast but thats what makes it fun. Theres a one glitch that occurs with player customization in captain your country mode, sometimes your players hair color changes during replays, but other than that all around the captain your country mode is very fun since you learn how to play the position you choose and your npc teammates are very smart but you still have some control over them since you can make them pass the ball to you or also pass the ball to them and choose when they shoot.
