I got 2 of this product for my PS2 and PS3 and it works great, plus the design is very nice and goes with the both gamming systems, so if you want to get a good optic cable for you gamming needs, this cable is for you.
I bought Sony’s HDMI Cable earlier and was so impressed with it’s quality that I ordered the Optical Audio Cable. I love the wire loom cover that protects the cable.
Short and simple: If you have a PS3 and you’re using audio via digital optical input, then this is the best one for your system because it doesn’t connect too loose. I used a Monster cable fiber optic cable at first, but noticed that it would wiggle out of place very easily, so I decided to purchase the actual Sony version and it fits much much better!
Overall, very pleased with these cables. I was really looking for that satisfying “click” when I plugged the cables into my electronics, and was a little disappointed. Aside from the PS3, no click. I had had a cheaper optical audio cable before, though, and compared to that one, these are awesome. The cheaper one would pull out if I moved my electronics even slightly. These have a very solid connection to the machines, and the sound quality is great. They also seem very sturdy and I’m sure the quality of their construction will outlast this current technology. I have two, one for the PS3, and one for my receiver/tv. Definitely worth the extra money for higher quality cables without breaking the bank.
Playstation 3 Optical Audio Cable works great with my PS3. Sound qualtiy is great and setup was easy. I would recomment this to anyone wanting an optical cable.
I had to get this cable because our sound system doesn’t have HDMI, but we are soon going to be upgrading that and wont need this optical cable anymore. But when playing videos and watching blu-rays, the sound is so amazing, the sound we have never heard coming out of our sound system before. It’s really good.
The cable is really nice, high quality, good length.
Just remember to take off the cover before plugging it in, I had some trouble with that, couldn’t figure out how to get it off.
but anyways, great cable, great sound. Your going to like it either way! Just make sure in the PS3, you set it up to use optical audio out.
I bought Sony’s product because I knew it would work the way that it was meant to with my PS3 Slim. I read other reviews of cheaper products not staying put and coming loose. Sound is great. The HDMI and Optical don’t interfere with each other. I don’t know why I have a suspicion of that. It works great, that’s all you need to know.

What can I say but it works. The wire seems a little thin, but it sounds great.
