    No need to spend $99, I get a full 1080p with a $6 cable.

This is going to be short but sweet. These generic HDMI cables are exponentially cheaper and work just as well as the $100+ Playstation name brand. Save your money!

I SPENT OVER $70 FOR MY FIRST HDMI CABLE AT BESTBUY LAST YEAR FOR MY PS3, SOMEONE STEPPED ON IT AND BROKE ONE OF THE ENDS, I WAS IN NO POSITION TO BUY ANOTHER $70 CABLE. I FIGURED WHY NOT TAKE A CHANCE SINCE THE PRICE WAS EXTREMELY CHEAP. AND IT WORKS EXACTLY!!!! LIKE THE $70 CABLE. IF YOU NEED A HDMI CABLE AND WONDER IF THE PRICE IS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE…ITS TRUE! I BOUGHT IT FOR MY PS3 AND IT WORKS PERFECTLY!

First of this is my first review on amazon though I have purchased an abundant amount of items from this website. I felt compelled to write this review because this HDMI cable does work excellently. I bought a 55 inch HDTV for Black Friday and couldn’t wait to try it out with my Playstation 3. As a result I bought a Phillips 30 dollar 3ft long HDMI cable even though I had this one on the way. I was amazed by the clear and crisp quality the Phillips HDMI cable provided and worried that an 18 cent cable won’t be able to match up. However it did and thankfully the Phillips HDMI cable can be returned. You won’t go wrong if you decide to purchase this cable.

I seen the review that Michael Lende posted about this product and I put them to the test because at first I was iffy on wanting to use a cable that could short out or harm my tv or PS3. In my opinion his review wasn’t fair, he received a bad cable and the company should’ve responded to his email’s about the product.

When buying an item like this, no matter where you buy it, you always risk the chance of buying something that can malfunction. It just happens. If you plan on using this cable for gaming purposes, especially for your PS3, it does not black your screen and cut while messaging someone on the Playstation Network and this cable works fine with the PS3′s online capabilities. I previously used a $40 Philips HDMI cable, my only problem with it was that it was too short and I didn’t want to pay another $15+ to replace it with a longer one. To compare these two cables is simple, they produce the same picture quality and is durable. Only difference is the length. To find an HDMI cable at this price that works just as good as your high end manufacturers is honestly hard to find. This is an awesome buy if you can’t afford to buy the more pricey HDMI cables.

[Anyone remembers the old "I am not going to spend a lot for this muffler" commercial?]

I’d like to begin by making it clear that any HDMI 1.3 cable will work with a PS3 and that this specific HDMI cable will work with any device that needs one, be it a PS3 or not.

The 3-6 ft. are the optimum lengths to connect most electronics. I am actually using 3 ft. cables whenever the connected devices happen to be very close to each other.

Just in case someone may feel guilty for not paying a lot more for a premium brand, it should be stated that at this lengths – 3-6 ft., you will get as good a service from a no-brand cable as you would from a super-expensive rip-off. An HDMI 1.3x cable should be able to carry, error free, all the signal your electronic equipment may put out.

The FUD campaigns, trying to attract buyers toward the more expensive brands make a series of claims. I will address them, as they may apply to this specific cable.

    - Signal attenuation is less over a more expensive cable. – TRUE, BUT that’s irrelevant on a 3-6 ft. length. The HDMI consortium stated that even the cables that were not ‘certified’ as ‘Category 2′ or ‘High-Speed’ will meet the requirements at lengths of 6 ft. or less. At 3-6 ft., it would be a waste to consider an ‘expensive’ alternative. In addition, the newer devices have sufficient processing power and are sensitive enough to properly interpret even the more ambiguous ‘digits’ they receive.

    - The expensive cables are better engineered and their contacts are less likely to break. – TRUE, BUT how many times is one going to plug/unplug an HDMI cable in and out of an HDMI socket over the cable’s lifetime? 5 times? 10 times? The ‘better engineered’ claim has no practical importance. If your cable works on ‘day one’ the odds are that it will be left in the back of your box for many months or years before it is unplugged and plugged back in. If this cable is purchased for home use, the ‘better engineered’ claim should not be of a major concern.

    - The more expensive cables are ‘future proof’. – NOT TRUE. Claims are made that, if you buy the more expensive wires you won’t have to buy new ones when ‘new standards’ emerge because the more expensive wire will support them. This is untrue on 2 different levels. First, your cheap cable was purchased to work with some very specific devices which need HDMI 1.3 and will never support the ‘new standard’. The new standards will be supported by new electronic devices but, for as long as you keep the existing ones, you will still need this cable to connect them. Second, the emerging HDMI 1.4 specs call for new features such as an Ethernet channel and an audio return channel, both of which can’t be supported by the existing HDMI 1.3 cables so, no matter how large a bandwidth the existing expensive cables may support, it won’t matter because you still won’t able to use them if you are to take full advantage of an HDMI 1.4 device so… there goes your $5 invesment or… your $200, depending on your having purchased a ‘cheap’ or a ‘top of the line’ HDMI cable.

My personal experience: I’ve never paid ‘a lot’ for an HDMI cable because it makes no sense to pay more. I took home one of the ‘expensive’ ones once because the salesman promised to take it back if I wasn’t amazed by the difference. It made zero difference and I returned it.

HDMI cables can cost up through (and probably beyond) $80 for 6ft. CRAZY! This little cable performs great (connects between my PS3 and my 1080p TV) for much less. Shipment was a little slow but it got here.

Great Price. Don’t waste money at your local electronics store. Unless you’re doing some serious video work these cables are as good as you’ll need. Fast shipping I’m happy.
