Very well-polished game that truly captures the feel and character of the original Scooby Doo series. From the excellent voice acting (Fred, Shaggy and Scooby are the stand-outs,) to the laugh track and ‘Chase’ sequences – everything a Scooby fan could want is here. You get the chance to play as different characters as the gang “splits up” to solve a mystery. You may, for example, play as Shaggy and Scooby while they are looking for clues – then, the story line switches and you play as the other members of the gang who are exploring a different area. Sometimes, meeting up and switching characters. Great action sequences, as well. Only animated punching and kicking of the bad guys – not violent in any way.
In general, the difficulty level is relatively easy – making it very accessible for younger gamers. With co-op mode (and the ability of the 2nd player to drop in and out of the game at any time,) my 6 y/o and I have had a great time playing this one together. There are some spots that the younger set will probably need someone to help them with. I originally figured that I would drop in/drop out only when my 6 y/o needed help, but quickly found the two of us playing together for the entire game and having a great time.
The only negative thing that I can point out is that sometimes the camera can get a little wonky and be difficult to follow (a la Super Mario 64,) but this is only a minor complaint and probably true of most 3D games in some regard. It happens realtively infrequently, anyway, so it is really a non-issue in my book.
If you like Scooby Doo, then you should love this game. I was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the gameplay and accessibilty for the younger gamer. Often times, TV or movie licenses that are made into video games are nothing more than broken shovelware. Not so, here! Torus Games has created a first class product.
The XBOX 360 or PS3 fanboy/fangirl will probably find this game FAR too easy in terms of gameplay. But for the Scooby fan or the casual or younger gamer, it should be a big hit.

This a great game to play. My 4 year old and I can play together and both have fun. He plays Star Wars and Batman Legos and this is right up his alley, with only Boss fights being a bit tough for him. I am picky about which video game I like to play, Super Mario, Batman Legos, game show games and I am really enjoying this game. It is very much like Legos games except you don’t build things. I can see this game being finished quickly, only 22 levels, but the replay value is great as you have to attempt to find all the Scooby snacks and clues and tags in each level. I would recommend this game for those of you who like Legos and Super Mario Galaxy. This is not a difficult game, by any means, but a fun-for-all-family members game.

Then you’ll surely love this game as it captures the spirit of the popular animated series right down to the chase scenes and Scooby-snacks.
It gives you a unique chance to play as all 5 members of Mystery inc, but as a much younger stages and in 2 person team-ups.Each level is design to fit that member of the gang and it’s gameplay is very easy ways for younger players to understand.
The stages are Split up into two ways…Story mode and Explorer mode, it’s Explorer mode that you have to use if you want to get more goodies after playing the levels the first time in Story mode.
Like all Scooby games there are monsters that you can beat through the ways of combat, as it split into two ways: long Range (Shaggy, Velma and Fred) to Melee (Scooby And Daphne). However, in the game you’ll collect special costumes that the gang can use in that level, and that you can buy later after you complete that level. Each costume has a unique ability that you can use to help you defeat more monster foes.
Young or old, if your a fan of Scooby-doo, then this is the game for you.

I bought this game for my son prior to any reviews with more than a little bit of trepidation, since a lot of Wii games have held no long term interest for him. I’m very glad I did. The game play is smooth, there is just the right amount of spookiness, and much of the annoying parts of gaming (there is no starting over at a saved spot; no limited amount of time; no do-or-die jumps) that I — let alone an eight year old get frustrated at. The play is also not without social value — I’m reaching, I know. You play both boy and girl characters and everyone has a special move that is needed during the game, Only cartoony monsters and robot get hurt, etc.
I have only two beefs: there are only 4 episodes, so I’m hoping for a quick sequel, and it wouldn’t have been too hard to change the clues gathered during game play each time so you would have different suspects be the villain and avoid knowing whodunit. This last point bothers my son not at all.
More than worth it.

Bought this for my 5-year old. He loves it and can play it quite well on his own (first story, at least). The voice acting is really good, and the graphics are surprisingly good as well, for the Wii. I would highly recommend this.

My 7 year-old and I love this game! The graphics are awesome and the monsters are CREEPY! The characters’ voices are wonderful and they are fun and easy to move around. The episodes are exciting and varied. This game is sort of similar to to the Lego games, but we didn’t get stuck as often (not knowing what to do next?) and so found it less frustrating. It’s like totally groovy, man!

This is another Wii game that was received at Christmas time. My 10 and 8 year old love this game and have played it everyday since receiving it. My kids love being able to play Scooby, find costumes, find puzzle pieces to clues and, of course, SOLVE THE MYSTERY. We are huge Scooby Doo fans (of the original series) and we are very happy with this game.

Our 7 year old daughter absolutely loves this game. It is enough of a challenge that we can play with her too and have fun. We love that as a 2nd player we can join and leave the game whenever we want, that is a very nice feature. I highly recommend this for any kids and adults who play the game with them.
