Installation was a breeze, and the battery model number matched what was already in my controller (gen 1 PS3 controller). Taking off the back of the PS3 controller is pretty easy, the hard part is lining up the top buttons when you push it all back together. Paying $10 for the battery is better than buying a $55 controller! It works great so kudos to the manufacturers.
It says it comes with a usb cable. Although just the battery came not the cable. I called to complain and asked to have the cable mailed and Josh said they could not he said he would ask and call me back. He never did so I called again and spoke to Denny who said it was a mistake online with the picture that is does not come with the cable. I said thats not my fault you are advertising with the cable and thats what I paid for. He then said well we don’t even carry those USB cables here in stock. I asked for a mgr. he said none were availalbe. How about a supervisor no none either wow!. So I complain to Amazon, lo and behold the next day Bruno the Mgr. emails me concerned with what happened and trying to fix things. I tell him what happened he offers to over nite the cable that they said they didn’t have in stock! The cable that was not part of the picture. That cable, well I got it today and it is a used old dirty USB cable with dirt and sticky crap on it. Is this a joke how they do business I am not amused at all! And will not buy anything from these liars!
the seller was fine to deal with, the battery may or may not work. Spent about 3 hours trying to put the controller back together. never was able to get the parts back inline. ended up throwing away battery and controller. read the posts on the internet about how difficult it is to put this controller back together.
My batteries were shot. there wasnt enough in them to play with the vibrate on when it was plugged in, it kept running out when I got shot at or something. This battery lasts for days. Dont think the USB cable is going to be useful though, its crazy short. It does the trick if you just want to charge.
