  IF you don’t know the difference between S-VIDEO and composite video, then believe me S-VIDEO delivers superb pictures over the other. If you want to watch DVD’s or truely enjoy the power of the PS2, then you need this accessory!

  The standard composite cables are fine, but if you have S-Video input(s) on your TV the S-Video Cable is the way to go! The images are much more crisp and clear. With the graphics of the games for the PS2 you cannot go wrong with a S-Video connection. And the cost is so inexpensive buying one is definately worth the price!

  I hooked one up to my PS2 a few days ago and I am very happy with the result. DVD’s look much, much sharper and PS2 games look somewhat better. For only a few dollars its a great way to improve the quality of your system.

  Many of you are leaving out something. You cannot tell people to get this item and thats all. First of all the item is yes great and improves the picture quality a great deal. However you must have the TV to do it. So dont plan on getting this unless you have a place to plug it in. The slot is a circle with dots (kind of like your mouse port).

  When I received my S-Video Cable I was a bit unconvinced that something so inexpensive could significantly change what I thought was crisp and clear, into something better. After switching cables, I turned from skeptic to believer. DVD’s were clean and games were focused significantly. I recommend the S-Video Cable to a person who has a S-Video port available (So find out before purchasing), and a few extra dollars. It is worth it! Trust me!

  The picture on anything you do on your PS2 becomes crystal clear. If you have a PS2 this is a must have. Most TV’s from the past 6 and a half years have an S-Video port and if you do you sure as heck should buy this.

  Just about any S-Video cable is good, no matter who makes it. Their basically all about the same. Now for you people that dont know what you’re talking about… Composite..yes the yellow RCA connector. Composite means that all of the colors are *combined* which leads to color bleed..the center connector is color, the outer connector is sync, an S-Video cable has a four pin connector… The pins are 1)Red 2)Green 3)Blue 4)Sync… Now because the colors are transmitted on separate pins… you dont get the color bleed. Thus the term SUPER-VIDEO(S-Video). And just because the cable is Nitrogen filled doesnt make it much better. When the gas becomes electronically charged it forms a barrier to cut down on line loss…. thanks for reading this…later.

  Well what more could I say? It’s S-video, far better quality than standard ps2 A/V cables. I plug it in to the S-video monitor and I get better picture quality. You can also use this with a vga box so you can get it on an lcd monitor.

  Some games (puzzle quest) use an absurdly small font for text and have little bitty status icons that are blurry and all look the same. Games like that are barely playable using the standard ps2 video cable. With this S-Video cable the text and icons are clear and sharp. It’s not a minor difference – it’s HUGE. The overall picture is better as well but the difference isn’t such a big deal.

  FIRSTLY, YOU MUST SEE IF THE TV HAS 3 JACKS AREA [ONE ROUND S-VIDEO AND TWO ROUND FEMALE SOUND JACKS]NEXT TO EACH OTHER. IF THE TV DOES, THEN THIS IS A GREAT WAY TO HAVE S-VIDEO IMAGES WITH YOUR TV DIRECT SOUND SPEAKERS.
  
  USUALLY TVS WITH THIS JACK HAVE GOOD STEREO AND SURROUND SOUND SPEAKERS.
  
  MAKES ALL THE GAMES INCREDIBLE!
