When I hooked my psp to my computer I was confused when my computer wouldn’t detect my psp. In order for the connection to be usable you need to to the system menu of your psp and select usb. Then the system will become connected to the computer and you can save files from your pc to your memory stick. Also if you download sony’s media manager for the psp it becomes much easier to transfer files back and forth. The downside is that you have to pay for the media manager.

This cable is awesome! I use it all the time to put songs and videos onto the PSP. I can pretty much put anything into my PSP now.

I have to say, question 2 for reviewing products is not all-encompassing, so I just put five stars for its “funness factor” since I have no problems with it.
Anyway, the Intec cable is a good product. I find that their accessories are always (in my experience) up-to-scratch. The cable is long enough, and the connectors function with no problems. Even though the picture shows two, there are three plugs on the cable:
USB – for connecting to your computer
data – for connecting to your PSP’s data transfer port
power – for connecting to your PSP’s power port for charging
I haven’t had any issues with the cable per-say, but whenever I connect the PSP to the computer, I find that I have to manually go into USB connect mode on the PSP.
From the PSP’s documentation, I was under the impression that the computer would automatically identify the memory stick as a “removable memory device” and go from there.
However, this isn’t a problem but merely an observation.
One thing that the PSP’s documentation does point out is that you may experience abnormalities/problems with using the USB feature if the “USB Charge” option is enabled. It can easily be disabled from one of the options the left-most column on the PSP menu bar.
I disabled this option since I received a charger with my PSP purchase (as should most people who bought their PSPs) and find that charging is faster when using the Adapter as opposed to through the computer’s USB port.

This is a great usb cable for the Sony Playstation Portable. I have a black PSP slim. I transfer videos from my PC to my PSP with this cable, and it works great. As someone else mentioned, I was surprised to find that it also has a charging cable attached, so that you don’t have to worry about your battery draining while connected to the PC at the same time. It’s sturdy and everything fits snug as well. Plus, it’s very cheap! Great product.

This USB cable can be used to your PSP, Motorola RAZR and spinoff models and I’m sure a few others, PS3 controller, Digital Cameras and so many other things. Works great with the PSP, transfer speed is fine.

For the price, this can’t be beat. It also includes another cable not pictured that can recharge the PSP while hooked to the computer. Easy to use and best USB/power cable I’ve found.

I would highly recommend anyone to get this chord. Not only does it have a decent length, but it can also be used for other products besides the psp. I have a psp 3000 series, and it didn’t come with a chord. I got this item at a cheaper price, compared to store prices, it’s nicely stored in it box which can be used over and over again (to keep the chord from tangling.
