We have not had any problems with this cable. Works fine, games look much better, and costs a lot less than the official MS cable.

Im satisfied with this product. There is ghosting but I only notice it on high contrast images ie white text on a pitch black background. The product does exactly what I expected it to. The picture shows exactly what it is, it has a plug for your 360, one VGA that plugged straight into my monitor without an adapter and two RCA audio which I already had a radioshack 1 dollar rca to stereo headjack adapter as I use headphones. I would say if you arent willing to pay 40 dollars this product is a slight gamble but I feel it paid off. The ghosting doesnt bother me as I only notice it with white or near white on black backgrounds. Otherwise the VGA resolution on my 1280 x 1024 monitor is great. I CAN FINALLY READ THE SMALL TEXT IN SOME OF THESE GAMES

…to the more expensive Microsoft Xbox 360 AV Cable. With this cable, you can use a standard VGA computer monitor with your 360, and the video quality (after changing the video settings in the Xbox Dashboard) is phenominal. Be warned though, if your monitor only has a cable ending in a male 15 pin conector, you will need a simple female/female gender changer (VGA Gender Changer HD15, F/F).

This item does exhibit ghosting, although it isn’t terrible for the best picture spending the few extra dollars for the OEM cable is worth it. The item feels cheap as if made of thin plastic and the video cable is small and the shielding feels thin, this could be the cause of the ghosting.

The ghosting can be seen in things like text in Halo 3, or any high contrast situation, IE: white text on dark background, will display this problem. Other than that it seems ok.

This is a basic product that suits the needs it fulfills; an HD signal via VGA (D-sub 15-pin connector) with audio outputs in either Stereo RCA-type connectors or Optical high-fidelity sound.

The cable I received is from Intec; based on the vagueness of the product listing, I presume that the brand may vary from one order to the next.

The cable doesn’t appear to take physical strain well, but taking care of cable strain is a part of maintaining a quality entertainment system anyway. I noticed that the final product features a mesh ‘sleeve’ around the cables. This may be an advantage for de-tangling or otherwise isolating this cable among others in a complex entertainment system, but otherwise seems like an aesthetic touch rather than a functional one.

For my application, I only use the two RCA plugs for sound, which is flawless so much as I can tell. I haven’t tried out the optical connector (no fiber-ready audio system yet) but I can see the laser diode emitting light when the system turns on.

As far as cables go, there’s not much in the way of features. It connects my 360 to a 19″ Sony Trinitron CRT and audio goes into a basic home-theater system. The home-theater correctly detects the Dolby Surround signals, putting sound to the rear speakers when appropriate. Since the 360 itself is in charge of the picture resolution and frequency, there’s not much to say for the cable. It works.

In my opinion, this is a quality ‘clone’ of the OEM product and is a worthy, low-cost alternative.

Only buy this product if you are trying to save some money, as it is not the greatest quality cable. However, it does work fine when there are darker colors being shown on your monitor, only when there are lighter colors do you see some picture degradation.

I bought the microsoft branded version of this cable about a year ago and for my primary display, it works great. I’ve never had any trouble with it.

Other users say it shows in 1080p,from what I’ve read..it outputs in 720p.

I have it connected to a Hanns-G 17″ widescreen.Unfortunately MS won’t offer a 1440×900 resolution for 360 users,so I’m stuck with 1280×1024 which I can’t complain.I have my computer (SLi setup) running DVI into the monitor and the 360 running the VGA HD cable into the monitor. The 360 is underneath the monitor.I use the Earforce X3s and it’s a great setup I can take almost anywhere.I like the fact that I can switch between the two sources and use the computer to lookup stuff while I’m talking with friends online.

This is an awesome product and the shipping was fast and realiable. I recomend anyone who cannot afford an expensive tv to look into using a computer monitor with these cables.

The XBox360 video/audio adapter cable worked great once we purchased the appropriate adapters from Radio Shack and a local computer store. The VGA cable has male contacts (which you can’t see in the images). This is great if you have a monitor with a VGA socket connector, such as many LCD displays have. However, most CRTs have only a male-ended cable, which means you’ll need a female-to-female VGA (miniDSUB-15) adapter to connect it (like this: [...]which should cost about $3. If you want to plug in to your computer or use a PC sound system, you’ll also need an adapter to get from the the two RCA male plugs to a stereo 1/8″ (3.5mm) plug or jack. These might run you [...]The adapter also has an S/PDIF optical audio output (aka. TOSLINK or EIAJ), but we did not check to see if it works.

I have a 19″ acer middle-of-the-pack widescreen I use for LAN parties. I almost didn’t get this cable because the negative reviews. I’ve been using it a month, and have not seen anything glaringly horrible. MW2 looks just fine using it. BUT, I have NOT tried this on a larger TV. So perhaps that is where the negative reviews are coming from.
