So far I really like this mouse. I haven’t used it in a presenter capacity, but when I tested it, it seemed to be great. It’s extremely comfortable to use as a regular mouse, and it has great sensitivity and connection, as compared to other wireless mouses I have used in the past. The bluetooth connection is fantastic and easy to setup. This mouse does everything it claims without any problems!!! A great buy!!!
I bought this to utilize my laptop’s BlueTooth functionality while keeping my sparse (2) USB ports free. The unit does ship with a USB based BlueTooth receiver, but thankfully is not dependant upon it. Getting it to pair without its receiver was a tad tricky, but once paired it now connects every time. Feature set is outstanding, as you can control music, DVD, and volume from a distance. The laser works nicely. As this is my personal laptop I haven’t used it in a presentation capacity – however it is most entertaining with the cat.
I nixed a star for one reason (and this may be a MS Vista “feature”) the magnifier works well, but whenever I activate it my screen blanks for a sec. and then returns with the magnification rectangle – My other MS mouse doesn’t do this. Note: This feature was a deciding factor in staying with the Microsoft brand.
As to size (I have fairly large hands) I would say it’s just shy of a perfect fit. While it is larger than my wife’s miniscule Logitech VX Nano (thankfully) it could be a bigger.
This is a easy to setup mouse from Microsoft. It comes with a optional bluetooth adapter which you can hook it to one of your USB ports in case your PC doesn’t have in built bluetooth. The installation was a breeze on Vista/XP since they had inbuilt drivers for it.
The mouse starts working automatically if used with the bundled adapter. Otherwise you need to pair the mouse manually. I tried using this mouse on Linux(Ubuntu 9.04). But doesn’t seem to work on the first go. Need to do some tinkering to get it work!!!
To use the presentation controls and the volume button located below the mouse you need to do the following:
1) Use the button in the middle (the one behind the scroll) to freeze the regular buttons.
2) Install the bundled software and it works.
I like the built in laser beam which I can use for presenting a PPT. The mouse has 3 different colors on it(Black, Silver and Dark Gray). So it would match the color of most of the laptops (Just in case you are specific about this). It also comes with a very cute looking carry case and a hand strap.
Suggested Products to buy along with this : Cirago Bluetooth BTA3210 v2.1 EDR Class 2 Micro Bluetooth Adapter. Use this bluetooth adapter just in case you want a very small bluetooth adapter that totally hides itself when you plug into the USB port!!!
Decent mouse. A little small, but it’s designed for that. The middle mouse button is a pain to click – you have to press fairly hard, but not too hard, or the click won’t register. Very annoying.
My cats like the built in laser pointer
Edit: after using this for a few weeks, I’m rather disappointing. The Intellimouse software doesn’t let you remap the tilt functionality of the wheel, and the middle mouse button click is pretty much completely useless – it works less than 1/2 the time you press it. You have to press it *just right* to get it to work, and it’s incredibly annoying. I wouldn’t buy this mouse if I had to do it all over again.
First off, I purchased this mouse to replace an older logitech one. I decided to try out a bluetooth mouse because of all the hype about the range it has over regular wireless products. My old Premium Logitech mouse used regular wireless and I could not get more than 2 feet away from my 42 inch plasma screen I am using.
Its a nice mouse but for some odd reason the only type of mice I could find that used Bluetooth, were Notebook mice which means they are smaller than normal desktop mice. Thats one of my biggest problems with this mouse, is the size. I have small hands to begin with and this mouse is borderline on the size. Any smaller and I would have instantly sent it back.
The 2nd problem I have with it is the so-called range and accuracy of this mouse. The range is no where near 30 feet with acceptable accuracy. It reaches longer than my old wireless logitech mouse but the accuracy on this mouse suffers more. I have tried moving the usb dongle to different places using a usb cable extender and such and to no avail.
Right now its acceptable for the time being but I will definitely keep an eye out for a better one in the future.
I have big hands and this mouse is a bit too small for maximal comfort. But that’s about the only negative thing I can say on this. The battery life seems to be pretty good. I’ve had it about a month on one set of batteries and I’ve even accidentally left it on a few times. The range is great, the presenter works really well and the setup was pretty easy. One nice feature is how easy it is to customize what button performs which function. I am using this with Windows 7.

Hi,
It’s almost perfect in:
-Size: suitable for carrying with laptop.
-Quality: good finishing.
-Functions:a good customize buttons (the 4 buttons and the scroll) by using its software (intellipoint v.7).
-Carrying plastic cover hold both mouse and dongle.
Some negatives feedbacks:
-position of additional buttons are inappropriate.
-inability to pair with laptop blue-tooth … i.e. you should use provided blue-tooth dongle.
I love this mouse.
