I have a laptop and have been thinking about getting a mouse for it for those long “on-the-internet” days. I just hadn’t found one that I like. Well I’ve been on bedrest for over 10 weeks and decided I REALLY needed a mouse. I was getting carpal tunnel-like symptoms from spending time on the computer. After researching A LOT of mice on the internet, I was trying to decide between the Wow Pen Joy and the traveler. After looking at pictures on the internet, I decided on the Wow Pen Joy due to the thickness of the mouse. I’ve had it for 2 weeks and I have REALLY have noticed a difference. In fact, I noticed the difference the 1st day I used it. Size wise, it fits great in my hand but I have smaller hands so this might not be the mouse for somebody with larger hands. I really like the “forward/backward” buttons. I do wish there would have been a way to do a “home” button insteading of having to scroll up to the top of every page. Overall, I’m very satisfied with the mouse and for the money, VERY SATISFIED!
The joy pen has the right word in the title WOW. It’s really awesome I just got mine today and I’m trying it out for the first time all of 10 minutes and it works really well. I had trouble with my shipment initially UPS didn’t provide me with my shipment – said they left it at my front door but I never received it. I contacted the seller and they sent me another one via USPS took only 2 days to get it the second time. The seller was also very polite and understanding when I explained that I didn’t receive the initial shipment. No extra charges. The fit of the joy mouse on my hand is great. I have fairly small hands or maybe average size and it works well for me. I’ve already figured out what the thumb buttons are for backwards and forwards thru web pages and it’s much much more comfortable on my wrist which was starting to hurt from the regular mouse. The price is right I think I’ll probably order more to use at home. I ordered my first for work use. Also no track ball so it works well on any surface. Thank you I highly recommended this product.
I am a bit of a mouse junkie, I have purchased about 10 mice/trackball in the last 2 years. I am in search of the best and most usable mouse for work. I am on the computer 12+ hours a day most of the week.
I will rank this mouse a close #1 for these:
1. Very lite, easy to move.
2. Excellent angle, not as upright as the “Evoluent VM3R2-RSB Vertical Mouse 3″ which I also have in my arsenal of mouse.
3. The back and forward buttons are easily reachable with the thumb.
4. Easy to click.
5. Thumb area has a hook area where your thumb can sit which the Evoluent doesn’t have is a great plus+
6. The mouse look nice, perfect blend of shiny and dull rubbery areas for better control.
7. Overall feeling of my hand and arm don’t feel tired after a full days use, that is very important to me.
The mouse feels like it should be held with a full palm, but my hand is too big and misses the buttons, therefore this is the only downside, I have found a position that is comfortable and doesn’t set the side of my hand scraping the desk (like the Evoluent did).
One note: This is my true #1 input device: Kensington Turboring which has been discontinued & mine broke is the best trackball I have used. I wish Kensington made it again. My thumb was rarely used which I believe can cause most of the strain on the hand and arm.
UPDATE: After 1 year of use, the mouse is still my daily driver. I tried a different mouse (3M Ergo which was a fail). The mouse still works great, the only downside after 1 year of use is the scroll wheel now makes a squeaking sound when used, not unbearable but can get annoying if the room is quiet.
Since I have been using this mouse, the dull ache in the back of my hand has gone away. Also, it fits so naturally in your hand that it took no time at all to get used to. I am loving it!
I got this mouse to relieve pain in my wrist and it does exactly that. Very comfortable and easy to use. Love the extra buttons and main button locations. Very useful and efficient.
I draft upwards of 6 hours per day and began experiencing tingling in my wrist. I tried various wrist rests and a special mouse pads to no avail. This mouse is wonderful and a great value at less than half the price of similar items. It has greatly reduced my wrist discomfort; when combined wrist stretches, my symptoms are completely alleviated. I would recommend to everyone!
It’s excellent. I use the evoluent vertical mouse on my main computer because of tendonitis. I didn’t want to spend that much for my second computer so I tried the Wow. It is not quite as sensitive as the evoluent, so you have to grip it just a bit tighter to click, but it still gives you that ergo position. The price is very nice. 5 stars.
About 5 years ago, I had RSIs bad enough I was on the verge of requiring surgery. Fortunately some intense professional physical therapy, an ergonomics consultant, and a changeout of equipment helped a great deal.
As for a mouse, I was using the 3M Ergo Mouse, Small ever since. However, I was never 100% satisfied with it. First, there was no mouse wheel, just a middle button. Secondly, the thumb switch put my right hand at some risk for a recurrence of the De Quervains which had afflicted it before, especially when doing a lot of clicking and dragging work. I went through two of the 3Ms over the years, and a few weeks ago my current one began developing a key-bounce condition (double-clicking when I only clicked once).
I decided to give the Wow Pen Joy a try, despite its silly name. I have to say that for me, I’ve never used a more comfortable fully functional mouse. I have very small hands and it fits me almost perfectly — the only bit that doesn’t work is I cannot reach the further thumb button. Hardly matters though as I never used those on other mice, and for the sake of increased ergo qualities I remapped the nearer thumb button to function as a click-and-drag.
My other quibble is the mouse wheel squeaks just a little bit; I think I can clear that up with some silicone spray though.

Was in the process of developing some serious wrist problems prompting shift to the Pen Joy mouse.
The new mouse has really helped and strain on wrist is significanty reduced.
