I bought Action Replay DSi a few days ago and it has been flawless. I’ve been progressing through my imported copy of Pokemon SoulSilver like never before. The Action Replay DSi works on all DS games, but with some newer ones, like imported ones, you need to get your own codes off of the internet. I also read Mad Catz review, and checked the soldering, and it was quite firm in place. It is also very easy to use, and beginners could use it.
Trust me, the Action Replay DSi could get you through that level that you’ve given up on.
The Action Replay DSi is an incredible work of magic. The fact that it updates itself when you connect it to the computer is incredible to me, and I am definitely going to enjoy using it.
I originally got one from Target, tried to install it, it didn’t work because the drivers were missing (great job Datel). Returned it to another Target and got another one from the second target. Put it in with usb cord…it literally installed itself and began working in 3 seconds. I was like “WOW”. I think it takes luck to get a working Datel product. Right now I’m trying to be EXTREMELY CAREFUL WITH IT. I ONLY USE ONE CODE AT A TIME. I DONT EVEN CARE, I WANT THIS THING TO LAST FOR AS LONG AS POSSIBLE.
This is definitely one of the best products ever made. I use Action Replay all of the time. It works most often, and if it freezes you just have to restart it, which takes about 5 seconds. It never goes out of date because you can put on new codes all of the time. If your computer can not load mini CDs then just type in the codes by hand; it’s that easy. I used AR to beat my Mario Kart game. I totally recommend this product; it’s worth $20.
Hey there everyone! I recently just bought this product off amazon and i must say it is awesome!! The menu is newer, the software was easy to install and for all those who are wondering…YES! This product has been sucessfully installed in my 32-bit Windows 7 Ultimate and works without fail. Not only that but it also contains a micro sd slot for either homebrew or game saves….definately worth it’s price!!!
I got these very quickly after I ordered them (less than a week) and they came in a conveniently small package so they fit into my mailbox. There were three and they are VERY nice, they have a clear plastic tip that looks like glass, and they almost snap into the DSi. I am not worried about losing them at all and they look slimmer than the original stylus but they are exactly the same size. Would absolutely recommend as a replacement for a lost stylus!
I bought this for my son, who is ten. He said it didn’t quite do everything he expected it would, but that he is getting enough out of it to make his games more fun.
I got mine in the mail a few days ago, and now i don’t know how I ever lived without it. The directions are easy and I was wizzing through hard levels in no time. I have about forty something games, and almost every one had some codes. If you want more codes, you can just go online and enter some more. Every so often a certain code wont work well with others or it might come with a glitch; For instance: In the game, Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, if you make the boat go twice the speed, it wont stay on course, and it’ll frequently go in circles. However, I can live without it, because I love being able to “super jump” Link to all the places I couldn’t reach before, and of course, the infinite health has been a real bonus:-)
I have so many games that I’ve put on the back burner because I just couldn’t get through a certain level or defeat some baddie and lost patience trying, so it’s great to go back and do what I got to do. The only problem I had was I had to take my DSi out of a hard protective case to push the Action Replay Card in the port. It’s not a crisis, so I didn’t deduct any stars. I’m really enjoying it and I haven’t had any major problems. If I do come across any major or minor problems, I’ll try to update. Thanks for reading.
I picked up one of these today after seeing that it allowed for backup of game saves. It’s not a feature that I plan on using, but there was something that I wanted to try out.
I purchased a few used games from GameFly (Time Hollow, Jake Hunter and Trauma Center 2). Unfortunately, there was no way to reset them to factory settings built into any of them. I wanted to play each one from the beginning without having any bonus features unlocked. That’s where the Action Replay DSi comes into play. I had a theory that I might be able to backup a game save, then restore it to a different game, effectively forcing the cartridge to revert to factory settings.
It worked like a charm.
I was able to use Trauma Center 2 to restore Jake Hunter, Scribblenauts to restore Trauma Center 2, and Professor Layton and the Curious Village to restore Time Hollow (something to do with cartridge information being the wrong size). I then backed up the factory settings for each game so I can pass them onto someone else when I’m through.
On another note, the Action Replay DSi doubles as a new version of the old Games & Music cartridge. I was able to plug in the MicroSD card from my original G&M cartridge and immediately boot up those games, as well as play my homebrew stuff.
As far as the longterm quality that the other reviewers are talking about, I can’t give any insight, but it got the job done for exactly what I wanted it to do.

This is the best device I have gotten for my DSi. I use it all the time and it’s working (so far). I would recommend this to anyone I know.
