Do you like the Wii network, online gaming, and streaming internet movies? You need to connect your Wii to the internet! If your WiFi signal isn't fast enough or you don't have any WiFi available, this ethernet adapter will get your Wii connected and get you back in the game. Plug the adapter in to your Wii's USB port, and connect to your home router with ethernet Cat-5 cable (sorry, but the cable is not included with this adapter). Length: 33cm / 13in

I read seven out of seven 5-star reviews of this product, and let that guide my purchasing decision. However, I have not been able to get this to work with an hour of troubleshooting. I have tried direct connection to my hub, direct connection to my cable modem, rebooted everything in different sequences, followed the printed directions in the Nintendo Wii manual, and consulted several different online guides. I have a doctorate in engineering and I program industrial process control systems, yet this thing is not yielding to organized systematic troubleshooting. At this point, I still cannot verify whether the device itself is defective, or I am missing some subtle nuance of the setup.
I avoided other models which had Amazon reviews describing behavior similar to what I am experiencing, and other folks occasionally got over it. I’m only reporting that this particular LAN adapter is not immune to the problem. It is not a Nintendo-produced accessory despite the attachment of “Nintendo Wii” to its description. Delivery from the supplier was fine, but that’s small consolation at this time.

This Wii LAN adapter is cheap in price but it works like a champ. I purchased this product because I had a poor WiFI connection on the second floor of my home. With this adapter my Wii downloads 5x faster than with my poor WiFi connection. Less wait time on firmware downloads and Wii shop purchases. I am extremely happy.

I bought this adapter to help speed up Internet gameplay, and reduce lag. From the time I took it out of the box, it must have taken me no more than 60 seconds to configure it in the Wii Menu, and to get online in Super Smash Brothers Brawl.
It is a little pricey considering shipping, but still a good product.

I received this product quickly and immediately plugged it in to the Wii. Went to settings, set it up, and everything worked perfectly. Highly recommend it for the price and quality.

When we connected the Wii says we need a Nintendo connection. It does not work. Needless to say I am not happy.
By the way, it comes with no instructions. You wouldn’t think you’d need any, but it doesn’t work.
Buy the Nintendo version for a couple more dollars.

Product worked just as stated. Once the Wii was on wired Ethernet it was way faster then wireless.
The network at the Wii location even comes through a network extender (NETGEAR Home Theater Internet Connection Kit)through the home electrical system. No more Ethernet cables to bug my wife!

Its nothing amazing to look at, but it works fine for the Wii. Was a snap to hook up and allows Netflix streaming with no pauses or lags which is why I bought it.
