  I just picked up the XCM Cross Battle adapter PLUS and it works flawlessly with my Sony PS3 Slim. Just connect it to your PS3, connect a *wired* Xbox 360 controller and you’re in business. No delays or hesitation, it’s very responsive. In fact, while playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (MW2) I’d sometimes forget I was playing on a PS3 as it felt like the same playing experience as the Xbox.

  Three important things to know. First, you cannot use a wireless controller with a charge cable to connect. The charge cable simply charges the wireless controller, it doesn’t establish a connection between the wireless controller and the XCM. In short, you need a WIRED controller. Second, you cannot use an XBox headset that connects to your Xbox controller – the XCM doesn’t handle that (not that I expected it to.) Third, if you find that you lose your connection frequently, turn OFF the Controller Auto-Off power saving option on your PS3. It’s in the XMB (Cross Media Bar) under Settings > Power Save Settings > Controller Auto-Off.

  I was soo happy when I heard about this adapter cause I missed the xbox 360 controller. XMC works great I can’t belive it I recomend it!! It was hard to get use to it but it’s good!!

  Lets face it. The PS3 controller is horrendous for racing games. I use this for Gran Turismo and my overall times online have dropped by hundreds of places. I can more accurately counter steer the car and supply the exact amount of throttle. Definite buy if you want more substance while racing without going all out on a wheel.

  Bought this solely to use my 360 MadCatz fight stick on my PS3 for Super Street Fighter 4. So far, I tested it on MvC2 (downloaded version from PS Network), works flawlessly. However, Will not work on PS2 games (I have 60Gig fat ps3). I cannot wait to play SSf4 in a few weeks.
  
  Word. Not a bad price at 44 bucks, other places are selling them for far more money.

  The Adapter works great! The only game I have seen delay on was Uncharted 2 MULTIPLAYER. Its almost like your not pushing the stick up all the way so the guy walks instead of running. The single player part works great. The best to use this for is first person shooters like call of duty. The xbox 360 controller feels much more comfortable in your hand and for me, I actually played better on the ps3 using this adapter and a wired 360 controller. It feels more natural. The only this is, if you wanna use the rapid fire functions, i would suggest purchasing a USB extension so you can have the adapter sit in front of you so you can toggle it on/off. Great product overall!!!

  The adapter is amazing in every way possible. It allows for a wired Xbox 360 controller to be used on PS3. I’m a 360 player but due to the fact that I have the red rings, my PS3 is my only option for the time being. The Dual Shock 3 in my opinion is a hunk of junk toy. Light weight and too small. I have large hands and prefer the Xbox 360 controller any day. The Cross Battle Adapter saved my life! Although I had to purchase a wired adapter with it, it was the best investment I had spent on my PS3. Although it has the Turbo feature, don’t expect too much out of it. Don’t expect zero recoil when playing a shooter. Overall this product was well worth the $30 (not including the other $30 you might have to spend on the wired controller).

  Thanx to this little piece of electornics, my $400 dollar bluray player, can now be used as a video game console as well. i was very hesitant to buy this, but i really wanted to play the God Of War games and i despise the PS3 controller, so reluctantly i made this purchase. and i couldnt have been more impressed… plug it into the PS3 usb port and start playing with the comfort of my 360 wired controller!

  This is a non BS straight to the point review using a PS3 slim. Got my XCM and a wired Genuine (not Mad Catz or Gamestop, or a no name brand) XBOX 360 controller from EBAY in the mail today. I have been playing for an hour at most and I must say it works PERFECTLY. The guide button, start, select, trigger, bumpers, etc work flawless. I was wondering if I might notice a delay or glitchiness or something. NONE WHATSOEVER. I am more than stoked. I turned the PS3 on with the XCM plugged in and the XBOX controller NOT plugged in. Then I plugged the controller in the XCM adapter……I am good to go. That simple. My only gripe is that the PS3 analog joysticks are more precise and the XBOX has a small dead spot in the center. I know it’s not the XCM adapter because my other wireless XBOX controller has always had a small dead spot on the XBOX 360. It’s not noticeable unless you have put some time into both the XBOX and PS3, but once again it’s not the XCM’s fault. I have to give props to Ben Heck for his amazing PS360 controller mod (that I failed miserably on) but this XCM was a more practical and affordable option. I HOPE THIS HELPS!!!

  I couldn’t find out this information anywhere so thought i’d include it as an amazon review for future buyers. I tried using the plug and charge 360 battery/cable (that plugs into usb essentially making a wireless pad wired) but it doesn’t work with this adapter. The light turns blue to signal its usable but the green lights just keep flashing as if its trying to find a synced console when you press the guide button.
