Buy without worry! This is a legitimate Microsoft 250gb hard drive that even comes in a printed Xbox 360 box for around $50 cheaper then the hard drive that comes in the blister case. It works wonderfully and is absolutely the real deal. Highly recommended!

Amazing, not a thing is wrong with it at all. I would have to say that the packaging was a little tore up but the hard drive wasn’t damaged in the slightest.

These hard drives are not Microsoft products but it does work just as well. Mine works perfectly and has been now for about 4 months or so. Visually there is no difference and you wouldn’t be able to tell the difference when compared side by side. The one I got said 250GB HDD on the top although I believe that they don’t guarantee that for every drive. I do play on XBOX Live and have had no problems.
Originally I thought 250GB was overkill but if you have games that you play frequently then you really should save your DVD drive and get this. Having a big hard drive allows you to actually install or save the whole game on to the XBOX hard drive so that when you play, you won’t have to ware out your DVD drive. You simply install/save the game to your drive and then when you go to play the game, just stick in the game disc and the XBOX will simply verify that you have an actual copy of the game. Once the game starts up, you’ll notice that the XBOX will no longer need to read off the DVD drive/game disc anymore and it will play from the saved copy on you hard drive. Don’t waste your money on the overpriced Microsoft version!

My parents accidentally bought this 3rd party hard drive for me for my birthday. Even though the product description (ripped right from Microsoft) claims it includes a transfer cable, it does not. I knew it was going to be a scam as soon as I unwrapped it, because it wasn’t in Microsoft packaging, did not have the transfer cable, and did not even have a Microsoft sku sticker on the drive case. I figured what the heck, I’ll try it, but when I plugged it into my 360, my system wouldn’t boot and just threw an e68 error (meaning the hard drive doesn’t work). I can’t believe Amazon lets these clowns peddle this unusable crap.

OK so bought this 250 gb hard drive for my xbox 360. I even bought a data transfer cable for it but when I transfered the data it said the new hard drive was only 16 gb well I thought nothing of it and did the transfer. Well when I put it into my xbox it can’t even find the hard drive as being connected. I was however able to retreive my info with the transfer cable but even after talking with microsoft none of there tricks could make the hard drive work properly. The seller says they’ll replace the item after I pay to send the old one back to them. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM EVEN IF THE PRICE LOOKS GOOD!!!
