    (I am not actually Susan, I am here son using her acount.)

    I bought Mortal Kombat shortly after it came out thinking that it would be a fun game for when my friends came over. I like having lots of character chooses but I quickly grew tired of it. I traded MK with a friend for bleach. I am a fan of the show I think the game is great. The character’s moves are true to the show and the game is made better by playing with the wii remote and numcuck. I have enjoyed unlocking the characters while playing alone and my friends and I have had a great time playing the vs mode. It does take a bit of time to load battles but it is not too bad. The single player is not the main feature and if you are looking for a game to play by yourself I would recommend getting Zelda, Prince of Persia, or Metroid prime. I highly recommend this game for fans of the show and manga or if you are just looking for a good fighting game. : )

    if your a bleach fan this is a must get game. The only downfall is the game is short. u fight 10 guys and then its beaten. then u chose another guy and do the same thing. this happens for a total of 8 times. and then the other character u got to unlock on arcade mode. that can take a little bit of time. but still easy. then some other stuff to unlock. the music is pretty good. found myself liking a few songs. but the rest is just there. it would have been better if they used the same music as in the show. the voices aren’t that bad either. i have no idea if its the same as the American version cause i was the Japanese version which i find is better. but over its worth it.

    My one major gripe is that I wish they’d left the japanese language track as an option. Nothing against the dub, but. . . it’s a dub. I want the original Byakuya taunting me, or the ability to put the real Ichigo in his place.

    But overall, this is a very fun game, especially if you’re playing against your friends/family. An online feature would have been fun too, but it’s pretty good as it is. And I do love the diverse attacks. One of the best things is watching the animation that precedes activating the character’s special (though if you play as the same player constantly, it can get a little tired). Some of these are very cool or even breathtaking (such as Byakuya. . . wow). Matsumoto is TERRIFYING when she does her special though. Make sure you have no children in the room. She just kind of. . . almost falls out of her kimono. And I swear she presses her . . . accessories against the screen. *shudders*

    I love playing as Hanatarou, for some sick reason. He’s really fun to play against if you’re doing two player, because he’s so cute sometimes they just don’t want to hit you. And then you can be completely merciless and . . . throw pots at them. Or roll on the ground, sprouting random lucky kitties. Okay. . . .

    The art is great, the fighting is fun. The story is a little lame, but I bought it mainly for the arcade and vs modes, so I didn’t mind too terribly. And the new character is pretty sexy (especially in his released form), although I was disappointed because when I first saw the cover I thought he was Grimmjow (although Grimmjow and Ulquiorra are in this game, as unlockable characters). They really need to make a Wii game with all the arrancar and espada involved. It’s fun to win story mode as him though. You basically destroy Seireitei, or so it says. And haven’t we all, at one time, wanted to do just that?

    If you’re a Bleach fan, definitely buy this. Also, look up the japanese voice actors playing their respective parts on youtube. It’s hilarious.

    My 13-year-old son is a big Bleach fan. He likes this game because it has all of the show’s featured characters. Also, it’s more interactive than anticipated and he can make slight modifications to the characters’ special moves.

    this game is fun, even though i do like Bleach, I think this game would be fun for anyone. knowing the manga/anime helps alot, I love this game especially beating all of my freinds. I love how it shows Bankai, but I really think they should give you more space to fight, because when you do flash steps its like you cant go anywhere but in a small area.

    The dialogue in the game is hilarious. I love the characters you can play and the different powers for each. This is my favorite Wii game by far I’m absolutely in love with it and I have to say that I’m not really a game person. I have seen the show before but this makes me actually want to see all of it. I also like that you do actually have to move around some to fight it makes it easier to get into the game.

    NOTE: This review assumes that you have an understanding of the common terminology of Bleach.

    The game is a direct port of the Japanese game, so they didn’t mess with the story of the game or hide any of the characters or powers that haven’t been shown here in the anime yet, which is cool. Just remember that this game was a launch title for the Wii in Japan, so there is still a lot of room for improvement in the game play, so your expectations for it shouldn’t be too incredibly high. This is a very good game, though, especially for being such an early title.

    The storyline of the game is weak, but that’s not surprising, fighting games are not known for their storylines usually anyway. You can skip through the storyline cut scenes in story mode, though, and it’s nice to be able to get right to the fighting. There is a fair amount of loading, but it works having the little breaks between the fights. The game play is remarkably solid and responsive, although not very complicated. You do need a lot of room to play, either standing up or sitting on the edge of a couch or chair because you have to swing the remote a lot. This game is not about random flailing around with the remote to control the zanpakuto (I haven’t tried to play as any of the non-zanpakuto characters yet, so I might have to revise this late

    Pros:

    * Anime style cell shading really matches the show

    * Show’s cast do great job with voice work

    * Pretty extensive list of unlockables

    * Large character roster: 32 in total

    * Controls respond well

    * Bankai moves are a nice touch

    Cons:

    * No online

    * It’d be nice if everyone had there own episode mode

    * Episode mode is to similar to arcade mode, only with a few cut scenes thrown in

    * Weak lead hollow villain for the main story

    * Environments have no effect on game play; non interactive

    Overall: At the time of this review, Bleach: Shattered Blade can be bought for around $20.00. For a fan, this is truly a must buy. For ‘Fighter’ fans, I’d have no reservations about purchasing this either. Even though it has it cons, overall its still a really solid game with tons of time waiting to be soaked up by this game. (B+)

    I’m not much into fighting games, infact the only fighting games I own are this, Blade of Fate and Jump! Ultimate Stars. (Though I’ve played others that I’ve liked.) However, I was impatiently waiting for this game when I found out about it. For one, I needed another Wii game and secondly I love Bleach. One thought that occured to me though is of course “are they just using Bleach as a way to make easy sales and will it just be a waste of money?” Thankfully, my fears were wrong.

    Graphics: 4/5 Nothing real stunning when compared to other games on other systems, however, for the Wii this was beautifully done. Nice anime look, the cut scenes when going into Bankai look fabulous, but once again, only good considering it’s a Wii game.

    Sound: 4.5/5 The sound affects are fairly good, I’ve been hearing complaints from people wishing they could hear them talk in Japanese and it just be dubbed, but really I like hearing it in a languag I speak. The music during the battles is done pretty good also, it goes along with the fighting pretty well.

    Gameplay: 4/5 Like I said, I’m not really into fighters, but I’ll try to compare it to others best I can. For attacks, you swing your Wii-mote, when preforming a special you hold down the b while swinging and to preform a regular but stronger attack you hold down b and swing. This works pretty well, expecally for me, it makes it easier to get right into than just button mashing. However, Bankai can be a little too easy to get into, when you give/take damage it goes up, and also to charge the meter you just shake your nunchuck, and to get into Bankai you shake your Wii-mote (when the meter’s full, of course) although, I suppose it’s better than being too hard to pull off. It’s still quite fun to do anyways.

    Over all I’d give Bleach: Shattered Blade a 4.5. If you’re a fan of Bleach this is without a doubt a must have. Also if you’re into fighters you might like it too, or at the least you should rent it once to try it out.
