I’m not a hard core gamer. I’m a 20-something Mom of two. There isn’t a single other PS3 game that we have seen or tried that I play on a regular basis. If it weren’t for this game, I would never ever play the PS3, only my husband would. My 3 year old daughter can watch us play and follows along with the storyline, she even gets excited or nervous in parts. When your ninja fights, it’s not really violent, so it’s ok for her to watch it, and the bad guys turn into cute bunnies or big bears when you “kill” them. This game is also beautiful. I really can’t say enough about it, I think it’s the best buy for us because we don’t have to hide it from the kids and I enjoy playing it. Love it.

I bought this for my kids — who are ages 7 and 12 — and I can’t tear them away from it. I think it’s such a refreshing break from the usual violence fest that’s out there. I am a now aging gamer and I’m also enjoying it. It seems like the people that made it put a lot of effort at making it interesting for young and old, it has a bit of those layers in the story and dialog that pixar movies have sometimes. Well worth the money in my opinion.

I heard of this game on a preview while watching Anime….I liked it instantly!!
It’s just so very cute! Not only that, is packed with action and adventure! I’m not a big game player
but when I like a game (specially adventure) I get it and finish it!! So far this game has made me laugh until I cry!
There are funny times, as well as kind of sad, but is very active in any way!
I love the little ninjas as well as the evil mini samurai who can’t seem to do anything right, they’re kind of dumb >_<
Overall, this game can be played by kids as well as adults!
My brother and I aren’t kids no more but we LOVE IT!
I highly recommended if you want to pull an all nighter with Ninjas on your screen!!!

Look it’s fun game and a great filler till the fall games come out, such as Assassin Creed II or Modern War Fare 2. You don’t have to think much, and animation isn’t that bad, pretty good I would say. There is a touch of humor to it. Just a relaxing game to pass the time.

Ok.. So i saw another review stating that this game was horrible, however i bought it before any reviews were posted and i love it. I bought my DS about 3 weeks ago and this game is the one i play the most. As for the graphics, they are great for a system like DS. It can be a little challenging sometimes trying to figure out where you need to go, but i have never had any problems with the maps. Maybe this game doesn’t appeal to a younger audience; I am 26 and can’t get enough of it. I’m actually going to go out tomorrow and buy the Xbox 360 version. Either way take my review for what its worth. I think that if you try it you won’t be disappointed.

I grew up playing Nintendo games, including my addiction to Mario games. But when the PS3 came out, I bought it for the Blu-Ray player and could not find a game to learn the PS3 controller that was easy, fun, and a beginner game like Mario used to be for me. Mini Ninjas is definitely that game for the PS3.
The gameplay is adventurous but leaves a lot of room for exploring the different levels, levelling up with different powers and new characters that can be inter-changed. The game is your typical adventure and save the world game but you’ll focus on the levels and laugh at all the quirks…and even some of the crazy bosses. The graphics are gorgeous on this game and just make the experience all the more fun. Like any Mario game, the levels get darker as the game progresses, bosses get harder, and you learn which characters are the best for certain enemies and situations. The final boss is not easy but is not impossible to beat either. There’s also the ability to re-play levels to collect certain items as well and multiple save points that can only be used once are great but also can be used strategically.
I’d recommend this game for families but also for all gamers for its fun and the nostalgia you might have about old games and now to see the equivalent on the new systems like the PS3.

My sister (who is a pretty hardcore gamer) bought the Wii version for my son (7), mostly because it was cute, and he likes ninjas. From the beginning I was impressed by the look and feel of the game. It’s not the most elaborate or detailed world you’ll ever see, but it’s well designed and perfect for the audience. That the defeated foes don’t die but rather turn into cute animals is both integral to the plot and a perfect solution for allowing combat in a young kids game. I started out mostly playing it just to stay ahead of my son so I could give advice if necessary (I was once a “gamer” but haven’t had the time in quite a few years), but I found it a lot of fun as well. It’s not the most challenging game I’ve ever played, but it’s addicting nonetheless.
There are elements of the game play that took my son some time to get used to — but he’d played the various Lego games (Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Batman) and he picked it up quite quickly, and it was engrossing enough to get him to work through any of the places he was getting frustrated. My younger son (4) tried playing a few times as well, but he wasn’t as willing to put in the effort. He had a lot of fun just watching, though.
I’d definitely recommend it (at least for its intended audience). My only caveats are that 1) while you can save your progress as you move through the levels, you can’t really save your progress so that you don’t have to restart at the beginning of level except when you finish the level… and some of the levels take longer to complete than I’d ideally have liked my son to be playing at a single stretch… and 2) the dialogue/narration is often too accented/muffled to really substitute for reading, so it was sometimes necessary that an adult was there watching to help out and read some of the longer pieces… though when that wasn’t the case he was certainly able to muddle along without.

Bought this game for the kids & hubby after they rented it for a few days. They are all enjoying it. My 5 yr old likes it so much he kept asking to play it but with limited screen time it took him a little while to work his way through the game. I don’t personally play but I watch and I also think the way the Samari say Mini Nijas is funny.
Enjoyable game. Not too complicated but hard enough to teach a lesson to the kids to keep trying something even if they aren’t good at it.

I’m 19 and I love this game. Great fun for both kids and adults. The scenery is beautiful and the gameplay is well put together. Lots of fun.
